SHUR January 2021 Update

Happy New Year from SHUR and its officers

We are finally in January of 2021. We still are in a quandary about what is going to happen this year and what we will have to do to fix it. Will SHUR be able to have any more meetings? Will you still want to be a member and come to meetings?

Steakhouse 21, better known as Nick’s is open Thursday through Sunday for takeout only. It opens at 3 p.m. There phone # is 586-731-3900 if you would like to call and place an order or get information regarding what they are serving that day. Please keep this in mind when you want to order food. Thank you.

Dear friends,

It appears that congress approved the election of Biden. That is hard to swallow. We know that it is really a big blow and hard to deal with. But this doesn’t mean that you can go home and stop participating. Now is the critical time to get involved. Our Constitution says Government of the people by the people and for the people. We are the Board of Directors of this big Government Corporation and we hire the CEO’s etc. that do the day to day operations of our government through elections. It is up to us to tell them what we want them to do. When they do it we need to stand up behind them and cover their backs. But when they don’t it is our duty to get the courage to stand up to them and give them consequences for their actions. These consequences could be recalling them or not electing them the next time around. We must do our duty to God and our Country. Please pray and pray some more and may we help save our country and the people also. God bless all of you.

Have a grand and glorious day.  God Bless

SHUR DEC 2020 Meeting Canceled

SHUR wishes you all a grand and glorious Christmas and a much better new year than 2020 has been.

We are sorry to announce that we still haven’t a clue when we can resume having meetings. As soon as we know something we will let you know. We will still be putting out the monthly newsletter and will try to keep you informed about what is going on.

It looks like the 2021 Sterling Heights election for Mayor and City Council will be for a 4 year term as the ballot issue passed. Also they will not have to get as many signatures as that ballot issue passed also.

The Presidential election is still up in the air and there are law suits pending. In the over 50 years that I have been voting I have never seen an election that was such a mess.

Please pray for our country and then pray some more. Please get behind our President and cover his back and drum up the courage to confront the elected servants that aren’t doing what we want and give them the consequences to their actions by recalling them or not electing them the next time around. We must stand up for God and our Country and ensure that we stay the Constitutional Republic that our founding fathers wrote into our constitution.

If you have any questions or need some advice on getting involved, etc. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at 587-254-1284 or

We hope you are all safe and that God blesses you and your family.

Have a grand and glorious day.  God Bless

NOV 2020 Mtg. + Xmas Party Canceled

Happy Thanksgiving May God bless us with His intersession and make Trump President again

We are sorry to say that we won’t be having a meeting this month and we have called off the annual Christmas party the first week of December. Our Gov. hasn’t opened up the restaurants as yet so we have to abide by her rules.

Dear friends and neighbors,

I want to thank you for your good deeds this year. We still haven’t gotten through all of the insanity and evilness that is going on in our country. Please keep volunteering to go to polls where they are still counting and staying strong by standing up against all of this. Please keep praying that God intercedes and brings our country back with Trump as our President. So when you say your Thanksgiving Prayers this year, please thank God for Trump and ask Him to intercede and to come back to our country and save it. I pray that all is going well with you and your families and that God blesses all of you.

We will be letting you know about next year as soon as we find out what the Gov. is going to do regarding meeting in restaurants.

United we stand, divided we fall.

Have a grand and glorious day.  God Bless

Important Election Information

Our Votes are Very Critical this Year

We are now very close to the Presidential, Nov. 3 election. It has been a very different election this time around. The SOC never sent out ballot requests like she did this year, before. Mostly no one worried about their AV ballot getting to the clerk’s office in time to be counted. The rules weren’t so confusing. You didn’t think to much about going to the clerk’s office and voting early unless you were called out of town, etc.

Here Are Some Handy Ideas Regarding Casting Your AV Ballot

If you already voted but haven’t returned your AV ballot to the clerk’s office as yet, please don’t mail it in.  It might not get there in time.  Please take it to one of the drop boxes around your community or your clerk’s office.

According to the envelope that came with your AV ballot only you, or someone related to your or someone who lives in your household can return your AV ballot.  Please don’t give it to anyone else to return for you.

If you mailed it in please contact your clerk’s office and find out that they have received it.  You can also go to the SOS website and check there too.  If they haven’t received it ask them what to do.  If you mailed it last week or this week and it hasn’t gotten there please ask what to do.  You might want to go there and cancel out the ballot and revote.

If you changed your mind about who you voted for you can go to the clerk’s office and tell them you want to revote and they will cancel out your original ballot and give you a new one and you can vote right there on the spot.

Thank you for voting.  If you got out and worked for a candidate/s then God bless you.  This is the most critical election in our lifetime and it is imperative that we get it right!

Please contact your candidate/s and see if they need help at the polls and go hand out lit for them for a hour or more.

Please contact the Republican Party and ask them if they need anyone to be a poll watcher that day.  Maybe you can do that for a few hours also.  See contact people and phone #s below

If for no other reason, please do it for our kids, grandkids, great grand kids, etc.

Please don’t let them change our Constitutional Republic into a socialist form of government.

Thank you so much!

SHUR MAY 2020 Meeting

SHUR is sad to announce that the May meeting has been canceled due to Governor Whitmer extending the close down of restaurants except for Take Out and Delivery.  I’m praying that we can meet in June.

Does this anger you?  Do you think that we should be working to safely reopen businesses and put people back to work?  If so please contact your State Senator and State Representative and tell them you support them suing the Governor for keeping the state shut down.

While you are home and have extra time please take this time to vet candidates on the Aug. primary and when you decide whom you want to vote for, contact 1 or more of them and offer them your help.  This is going to be a very different campaign year.  Candidates aren’t able to go door to door to meet the voters.  They aren’t able to hold fundraisers.  So right now the only way to get their name out is to do mailings and through social media.  Mailings are extremely expensive and I’m not sure that printers are open, with the mail service being the way it is it could take much longer for the mailings to get delivered.  Please offer too:

1.  Send out friendship cards for the candidate

  1. Phone Call
  2. Donate Money for flyers
  3. Pray  (May 7, 2020 is the National Day of Prayer)
  4. Send out social media notices about your candidate/s

Thank you and all God’s blessings to you.  Please stay safe from the evil virus and help save our country.
